Then I welcome you. I am called Gary, though names are only markers. What I truly am… is a man who has walked through fire. For 26 years, I have journeyed through the dark forests of my own forgetting. I have wrestled with the shadows of depression, the pull of addiction, and the ruin of broken relationships. I have stood at the edge of the void—twice—and lived to whisper my truth into the wind. I wore masks. I performed roles. I buried my pain in chemicals and distractions. And yet… a flicker of life remained. A whisper in my bones said, Choose life. And so I did. That choice—one breath, one trembling step at a time—led me into the fire of transformation. It began in June 1999, when I entered a training that cracked me open and revealed parts of myself I had long exiled. That work didn’t fix me—it ignited me. And I have walked the path ever since. I have turned over every stone. I have wept beside rivers and roared into the night sky. I have trained in Postural Integration in South Africa and London…
I have studied Core Regeneration…
I now hold the sacred lens of Family Constellation Therapy, walking with the ancestors…
I have stood in sacred circle through The Quest Institute, holding space for thousands…
I carry the rites of Munay-Ki and the prayers of Ho’oponopono. And still… the path goes on. Now, I walk beside the ancient teachers—the sacred plants who know the secrets of the soul. Entheogenic medicine has taken me deeper than I knew I could go, pulling roots of grief from my belly, burning away illusions, and placing me face to face with the one I had abandoned the longest—MYSELF. And so I say to you, pilgrim of the heart:
If you are ready to remember who you are…
If you are willing to touch the places within you that have been buried, shamed, or forgotten…
If you are seeking to come home to yourself…

Then I will walk with you. Not to lead. Not to fix. But to stand as a witness—steadfast, grounded, and deeply human—as you rise from your own ashes. Take a breath. Take that first step. The path awaits. And your soul already knows the way. With love,

Where attention goes, energy flows.

When we focus on the things we love, we nurture the very qualities we wish to experience more deeply in our lives.

Love shapes our attention.
Our attention shapes our experience.
And through our presence, our choices, and our actions, we begin to reflect the love we carry within us.

The more consciously we embody love, the more opportunities we create to recognise it, share it, and invite it into our relationships.

Every life has its place

In a 1-on-1 Constellation I usually use small dolls as representatives. When there has been a miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion, I bring that life in as a candle.

The candle makes visible a loss that may have been grieved privately, forgotten, or never spoken about.

No one needs to be forgotten for another to belong. 
Every life has its place. Every loss can be acknowledged.

SomaGiri is a Family Constellation practice in Johannesburg. In this work we look at the hidden dynamics that shape our lives - the loyalties, the entanglements and the unspoken agreements within our families.

WHERE DO I BELONG?

Have you ever wondered why certain patterns keep repeating in your life?

- Why some relationships feel difficult?
- Why belonging can sometimes feel so far away, even within our own family?

In Family Constellation Therapy, we begin with the family into which we were born.

Our mother. Our father. Our siblings.

Those who are living. Those who have passed. And those whose lives may never have been openly acknowledged.
Every member has a place in the family story.

At SomaGiri Journey Centre, I approach this work slowly, gently and with honour, dignity, humility and respect.

- We are not looking for someone to blame.
- We are not trying to change the past.
- We are creating an opportunity to witness our family, understand our experiences and explore the place we have occupied within it.
