💪 Upper Limb Robotic Rehabilitation with Armeo at PhysioXtra Rehab

The Armeo is a robotic-assisted rehabilitation system designed to help people improve arm and hand function following a neurological injury or condition.

It may be suitable for people experiencing upper-limb difficulties following conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease or other neurological conditions.
Using repetitive, task-specific exercises and interactive activities, Armeo therapy can help support improvements in:

🔹 Arm and hand movement
🔹 Reaching and grasping
🔹 Coordination and motor control
🔹 Muscle strength
🔹 Range of movement
🔹 Functional activities such as eating, dressing and personal care
🔹 Confidence and independence with everyday tasks

Every person is different, so a physiotherapist assessment is completed to determine whether Armeo is appropriate and how it can best be incorporated into an individual rehabilitation program.

📞 Give PhysioXtra Rehab a call to find out if Armeo therapy could be suitable for you.

Last Wednesday we were lucky enough to have Hannah showcase a demonstration of both the Lokomat and Armeo; two advanced robotic systems designed to enhance therapy of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Our attendees got to see how these robotic-assisted gait and upper limb training devices can improve patient outcomes through intensive task-specific therapy 🦾

We’re very grateful to be able to host PD sessions such as these for industry professionals to help educate others on the incredible work we can achieve together with the help of these devices.

Watch this space for more information to come on the services we offer, or give our clinics a call to see if it could benefit you!

At PhysioXtra, Clinical Pilates is so much more than exercise, it’s a key part of how we help people recover from injury, move well, and stay strong as they age.
Director Kathryn Chigwidden has long been passionate about the role Pilates can play in rehabilitation and lifelong movement. Her teaching model focuses on combining clinical knowledge with high-quality movement education to give clients the confidence and strength to keep doing what they love for years to come.
This video was taken during one of our regular full-day Clinical Pilates training programs, where our physios continue to develop their skills and deepen their understanding of movement-based rehab.
We are proud to invest heavily in education so we can continue providing the very best care for our clients. 💙💛

Did you know that increasing your Clinical Pilates from one class to two classes per week can significantly accelerate your results? ✨

Consistency is key when it comes to building strength, improving flexibility, enhancing balance, and supporting long-term movement health. By attending an extra session each week, your body has more opportunity to reinforce movement patterns, improve muscle control, and continue progressing without losing momentum between classes.

Whether your goal is rehabilitation, injury prevention, improved posture, or simply feeling stronger and more confident in your body, two sessions per week can help you get there faster 💪

Speak to your PhysioXtra physio about whether adding an extra Clinical Pilates session could benefit you!
