We are THRILLED to welcome TWO new team members to the Neuro Flourish team this month!

Please welcome the wonderful, joyful, Senior OT, Sarah and her divine therapy dog, Ginger!

Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team as a paediatric occupational therapist, as well as a fun, creative and radiant energy!

Ginger is a certified therapy dog, with a loving nature, who seems very enthusiastic about joining our team (especially the chickens!!)

We are so excited to be launching our not-for-profit support and education service for parent/carer's of neurodivergent children and adolescents, in NOVEMBER!

It is called FLOURISHING FAMILIES - and our mission is to support parents and carers to understand, support and advocate for neurodivergent children and adolescents, but to also have a space where they are able to get support too!

This has been a huge dream of ours for a long time, and it's finally happening! We can't wait to share more soon!

Today is a bit of a bitter sweet day for me.

The incredible little boy in this photo... the child who made me a Mumma got his early entry offer to University!!!!!!!

I am so proud of this gorgeous man, who taught me what it was like to raise an AuDHDer. The boy who helped me realise and embrace my own neurodiversity and made me realise my calling in life of supporting other children and families!!

That's the sweet part!

The bitter part??

Thriving Kids was launched today in NSW.
Why is that bitter?

Because without NDIS and an incredible psychologist (paid for by the NDIS) to walk beside me while I tried to parent my gorgeous boy, embrace neurodiversity and support my little man the way he was created to be... life would have turned out VERY differently for all of us.

And today, because of a greedy and cowardly government, our incredible Autistic, ADHDers and AuDHDers and their parents and carers, wont have supports that actually help them.

Thriving kids puts more burden back onto parents and carers and is a subpar service that will leave our children without the supports they need.

Congratulations to my incredible young man. I couldn't be a prouder mother.

But my heart breaks for all the younger little kiddos who wont get the same opportunities... and families who wont get the help we did.

Neuro Flourish is committed to supporting families as best as we can through these devastating times.

Neuro Flourish offers primary and high school tutoring that starts with your child’s interests, strengths and learning needs. We build confidence and skills at a pace that works for them.

Sessions are available face-to-face in our offices in Mayfield or online via Zoom.

Our tutors include experienced teachers and university students studying teaching, and we have a Sounds-Write trained tutor available for literacy support as well!

When Jo accidentally prints this month’s journal article in A3! LOL

Because apparently, the evidence is more convincing when it’s enormous!

Each month, our team reads a new research article, then comes together for Journal Club to discuss what we’ve learned, consider the quality of the evidence and decide whether it should influence or be added to our clinical practice or not!

We’re committed to continually learning and ensuring the support we provide is informed by current evidence...

Even if that evidence sometimes is in poster size.
