A stroke can touch any family without warning. The World Stroke Organization estimates that 1 in 4 adults over 25 will have a stroke in their lifetime, with more than 12 million new strokes around the world each year. Here in Australia, the Stroke Foundation reported 45,785 strokes in 2023, which is one stroke every 11 minutes.
Recognising the signs early can truly change someone’s tomorrow. Remember the F.A.S.T. test: Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call for help. If you notice even one sign, call Triple Zero (000) straight away.
