Canadian Pharmacists Association

Canadian Pharmacists Association We see the pharmacist as the health care professional whose practice, based on unique knowledge and skills, optimizes medication use and enhances patient outcomes.

The pharmacy profession and health care in general are changing, creating new opportunities for pharmacists to focus on providing better patient care. Since 1907 our national, non-profit organization has charted the course through many developments in pharmacy, and continues to be the voice of pharmacists in Canada.

Last year, flu season was virtually ‘nonexistent’, but this Brampton pharmacist says it could be coming back

Last year, there were very few flu cases due to the heath measures in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. Even though we’re hoping for another mild flu season, we can’t let our guard down—easing pandemic restrictions could mean the return of the seasonal flu. There are lots of questions regarding what flu season will look like this year, check out our annual flu survey to see what Canadians are saying: http://ow.ly/F8p850GeDZs

According to Brampton pharmacist Harvinder (Harv) Takhar, that’s because the measures being taken against COVID-19 worked brilliantly against common colds and the flu.

Hello everyone, I am a grad student at the computer science faculty, Dalhousie University, Canada. I am recruiting participants to take part in an online survey to evaluate the proposed e-prescription system. The system aims to introduce a more robust and secure method to share the patient medication information with all parties (i.e., prescribers, pharmacists, and patients) in the e-prescription private network. The study will enhance and improve the proposed e-prescription system by giving feedback about the implemented features. To be eligible to participate, you must be a prescriber or pharmacist who had experienced using any electronic health record system and had any e-prescribing method (e.g., email or e-prescription system such as PrescribeIT) in the past year. The survey will take from 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary. All data will be treated confidentially, and for research purposes only, participants will not be asked for any identifiable personal information. If you are interested in participating, please click on one of the relative to your participation group link: - Pharmacists https://surveys.dal.ca/opinio/s?s=60531 For the full version of the notice, click the link: https://lnkd.in/dZF9gH5
