Agricultural Health & Safety Network Mission: Improve farm health and safety via education, service, and evaluation.

AHSN serves as the rural extension division of CCRAH, delivering rural and agricultural health knowledge to promote health and safety for Saskatchewan farm families. The Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture partnered with the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) and six Rural Municipalities in 1988 and founded the Agricultural Health and Safety Network with the mission “to improve health and safety on the farm through education, service, and evaluation research.” Over the last 25 years, the Network has steadily increased to 210 RMs including over 29,000 Saskatchewan farm families.

The end of harvest doesn't always feel the way we expect it to. After weeks of long days and high stakes, it's common for things to feel unexpectedly flat, heavy, or hard to explain once the combines stop.

We put together five things to keep in mind as the season winds down, because taking care of yourself after harvest matters just as much as getting through it.

Check them out, and if you or someone you know could use some support, AgTalk offers anonymous peer support for the agricultural community, available 24/7 in English and French.

Through meaningful conversations with community leaders, rural healthcare practitioners, and industry partners, we explored successes, discussed barriers, and identified priorities to strengthen the future of rural health and safety in Canada. tinyurl.com/CCRAH-RiC
