Bit of a personal post ~ I’ve been rather quiet lately.

Yesterday I said my last farewell to my Dad.

This isn’t a sympathy post, it’s an awareness post - PUT YOURSELF FIRST no matter what you are going through ~ good days and bad days.

You can’t run on empty.

Reach out to anyone if you’re struggling with life in general.

So today, what will you do for YOU?

I’m sending this little virtual hug to anyone who may need it today 💕

🎄✨ CHILDMINDERS, LET’S MAKE THIS CHRISTMAS COSY, CALM & FULL OF HYGGE! ✨🎄

Christmas in childcare can be magical… but let’s be honest, it can also be exhausting! 😮‍💨

Between planning activities, making memories, preparing for the festivities and keeping little ones happy, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of Christmas and forget about the person who needs a little care too… YOU!

What if this year, Christmas could be a little calmer, a little cosier and a whole lot kinder to your wellbeing? 🕯️🍂

Introducing 🎄 Create a Hygge Christmas – Supporting Your Wellbeing Too! 🎄

This course is designed to help you bring the beautiful Danish concept of Hygge into your home and childminding setting, creating a Christmas filled with warmth, connection and simple pleasures.

✨ Inside the course, you’ll discover how to:

🕯️ Create a calm, cosy atmosphere for you and the children.

🍵 Slow down and be more present in everyday moments.

❤️ Enjoy simple comforts that nurture your wellbeing.

🎁 Focus on connection, not perfection.

🌿 Bring the beauty of nature indoors.

🤍 Protect your peace and give yourself permission to slow down.

✨ Take time to reflect on what really matters this Christmas.

And the best bit? These aren’t about adding more to your already busy to-do list. They’re about finding ways to make Christmas feel more meaningful and less overwhelming.

Because the children don’t need a Pinterest-perfect Christmas. They need a warm, loving environment, meaningful experiences and a childminder who feels supported too. 🥰

And you deserve to enjoy the magic of Christmas, not just work your way through it!

🎄 Give yourself the gift of a calmer Christmas this year.

If you’re ready to embrace a slower, cosier and more mindful festive season, this course is for you!

💬 Tell me in the comments: What would help you most this Christmas — more calm, more connection or more time for yourself?

Wednesday Wellness ….

This is a little reminder to stop and take a few deep breaths today, starting now.

Unwind after a busy day.
What do you like to do?

💜 Mid week wellness ……

Take a few deep breaths to relax the mind, body and soul.

This also relaxes the muscles and any tension held in our bodies.

Try it now.

Breathe in through the nose for the count of 4 and exhale slowly through the mouth for a count of 6.

Repeat a few times.

How does it feel?

Sunday night wobbles!

Does the thought of working tomorrow fill you with dread or panic!

It needn’t.

If you’ve not planned anything for the week don’t let it ruin your Sunday evening.

Grab a piece of paper and write 3 things down you want the children to learn this week or activities you want to do. Then put it down.

Enjoy your Sunday evening whatever that means for YOU but don’t think about work.

✨Relax
✨Read
✨Bath
✨Meditate
✨Stretch
✨Watch tv
✨Listen to a podcast

It doesn’t matter what, as long as it’s for YOU ❤️

💚 World Mental Health Day – A Little Reminder for Childminders 💚

Today is a reminder that your mental health matters too. 🌿

As childminders, we spend our days caring for little people, supporting families, planning activities and managing the many responsibilities that come with running our own businesses.

We give so much of ourselves to others, but how often do we stop and ask ourselves… “How am I really doing?” 💭

Being a childminder can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be exhausting, lonely and overwhelming at times.

💕 You don’t have to be strong every day.
💕 You don’t have to do everything perfectly.
💕 You are allowed to rest without feeling guilty.
💕 You can ask for help and talk about how you’re feeling.
💕 You deserve the same care, kindness and understanding that you give to the children in your care.

Remember, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish; it’s an important part of caring for others.

🌿 So today, take a little moment just for YOU. Step outside, enjoy a cuppa in peace, take a few deep breaths or reach out to someone who understands.

And if things feel difficult, please don’t struggle in silence. You matter, your wellbeing matters, and you don’t have to face everything alone. 💚

💬 Let’s check in with one another: How are you feeling today?

No judgement, no pressure to be positive — just a safe space for childminders to support each other.

Please forward this to ever childminder you know ❤️

💚

🌿 Let nature help you feel a little better 🌿

Sometimes wellbeing doesn’t have to mean doing more.
Sometimes it means stepping outside and simply being. 💚

Nature can give our minds and bodies a little space to breathe:

🌳 A gentle walk can help clear your mind
🌸 Looking at flowers, trees and changing seasons can bring a sense of calm
🐦 Listening to birdsong can encourage us to slow down and be present
☀️ Natural daylight can support our body clock and sleep
🍃 Even sitting quietly in the garden for a few minutes can feel restorative

You don’t need a long walk or a beautiful countryside view.

Open the door. Step outside. Notice what you can see, hear, smell and feel.

Just 5 minutes of connecting with nature can be a lovely little act of self-care. 🌿💚

Today’s gentle reminder:
You don’t always need to escape your busy life — sometimes you just need to pause and notice the world around you. ✨
