A little slow stitch from half term.
Raw, unfinished, full of joy.
I thought it deserved its own square.
I’ve been gathering scraps of fabric for a while now, not knowing what they were for. This week they found each other. A collage of bits and pieces, layered and pieced together, slowly becoming a place I think I’d like to live.
If you look closely, you’ll see the stitches that wandered off course. Edges that could have been sharper. Places where I could have unpicked and started again… but I didn’t. I just kept going.
Because this isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about being here. One stitch, then the next.
The mistakes are part of the story now. They’re where my mind drifted, where I paused, where I was taken out of my flow by a teen who needed something. And somehow that makes it feel more like home.
Once fully complete I’ll share - if it ever gets finished!
