When the weather is cold and wet, it's tempting to stay indoors and put our feet up.
But when we start moving less, our muscles can gradually become weaker, and our balance and confidence can be affected too.
Something that used to feel easy, like getting out of a chair, climbing the stairs or walking to the shops, might start to feel a little more difficult.
And sometimes, the less confident we feel, the less we move.
Staying appropriately active through the winter is one of the ways we can help maintain our strength, balance and independence.
If you or someone in your family is finding everyday movement more difficult, our Physio at Home team can help identify what's changed and how best to improve things.
