With the evenings drawing in, many people experience a dip in mood. You might feel it yourself or notice that an older parent or neighbour seems quieter than usual.

Sometimes it goes further. Seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, is a type of depression linked to the seasons, often worse in autumn and winter when there’s less daylight. It’s common, and it’s treatable.

Regular company matters hugely, especially on the darker evenings. That’s why our Care Professionals across Northampton visit as much for companionship as for care.
