Our sun doesn’t mess around. New Zealand has some of the highest melanoma rates in the world, and the good news is that most skin cancers are very treatable when caught early enough.

Cover up, use SPF 50+, and get anything unusual checked.

Call 03 477 4335 to book an appointment with your GP.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a timely reminder to check in with your body and your GP.

Get to know what’s normal for you and check monthly for any changes, such as a new lump, puckering, ni**le changes or unusual discharge. Most changes won’t be cancer, but it’s always worth getting checked. If you’re between 45 and 69, you may be eligible for a free mammogram through BreastScreen Aotearoa every two years, and we send out reminders to help you stay on top of your screening.

Want to chat about breast screening or your eligibility? Our knowledgeable nursing team is here to help, just give the practice a call on (03) 477 4335.

If something feels off, don’t wait it out. Book an appointment through the Well app or call the practice today.

October 16 is World Food Day, a timely reminder that what you eat affects more than you might think. The right nourishment fuels concentration, mood, energy and long-term health, for your brain as much as your body.

Not sure where to start? Our in-house Health Coach is free to see and can work with you on practical lifestyle changes, nutrition habits and realistic health goals, no referral needed.

Book a session through the Well app or give us a call today.

Looking after your hauora (wellbeing) isn’t selfish, it’s what gives you the capacity to show up for your whānau (family) and friends with real aroha (love). Before you can care for everyone else, you need to check in with yourself. Rest when you need to, do the things that fill you up, and give yourself the same manaaki (care, support) you give the people you love.

Filling your cup might look different for everyone, a walk outside, a proper night’s sleep, or spending time with those whose company you enjoy. Small moments add up.

If you’re finding it hard to keep your cup full, our health improvement practitioners or your GP are good places to start the kōrero (conversation).

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme reminds us that feeling connected to others is good for our wellbeing. A kind word, a shared cuppa, a check-in with someone who’s gone quiet. Small things make a big difference.

If you’re finding things tough, you’re not alone. Our team is here to listen and help you find the right support. Book an appointment using the Well NZ app online or call us on 03 477 4335.

Not enrolled with us yet? Enrolments are open. Pop in or ask our front desk team how to join the Broadway whānau.

Feeling under the weather and need a medical certificate for work? A nurse at Broadway may be able to help.

If you need to be off work for fewer than 3 days, and your symptoms fit within a certain criteria, you might be eligible for a nurse off-work certificate. It’s quicker to get in, and it keeps GP appointments free for patients who need them most.

Need more than 3 days off, or not sure if you qualify? Have a chat to our administrative team on 03 477 4335 to point you in the right direction.

Not enrolled with us yet? New patients are welcome. Get in touch to find out how to enrol.

It’s the final stretch of the year. Work deadlines, school events, catch-ups, Christmas prep. It can feel like one big race to the finish line, and your own health can be the first thing to slide.

Stress builds quietly. Poor sleep, tension headaches, a short fuse, or that run-down feeling that won’t shift are all signs it’s time to pause. Small resets help: a proper break, a walk outside, an earlier night, or a chat with someone you trust. And if it’s all getting a bit much, talk to us. We’re here to help before things pile up.

Our team has recently grown, we now have two Health Improvement Practitioners who you can see for free, thanks to WellSouth. To learn more, give our administrative staff a call on 03 477 4335.

Book an appointment with one of our GPs, or HIPs by calling our friendly team at reception.

Not registered with us yet? Enrol on our website https://www.broadwaymed.co.nz/ or grab a paper enrolment form from our reception desk.
