“I only wish I had found her many years ago.”

Those words mean more to me than you know.

One of the biggest things I want women to feel when they walk through my door is that they're finally being HEARD.

Not rushed through an appointment. Not told that everything they're experiencing is just part of getting older. And definitely not made to feel like they're imagining their symptoms.

I want to listen. I want to understand what's going on. And most importantly, I want to help you find answers.

Because you deserve to feel good in your body, at EVERY stage of life.

Lisa, thank you for trusting me with your health and for taking the time to share such kind words. It truly means so much. ❤️

And to the woman reading this who's been putting off getting help because she doesn't know where to start…

You deserve to be heard, too.

Let's talk about something that needs a little less judgment and a lot more understanding.

There's this idea that women using GLP-1 medications are lazy, taking the easy way out, or just looking for a quick fix.

But what if I told you that for many of these women, it's actually the complete opposite?

They're the women who have tried every diet.

The women who have counted calories, exercised consistently, cut carbs, increased protein, and started over more Mondays than they can count.

The women who hit their 40s and suddenly felt like their bodies stopped responding to everything that used to work.

And the women who have spent years wondering, "What am I doing wrong?"

Here's what I want more women to understand.

Weight management isn't always as simple as eating less and moving more. Hormones, insulin resistance, appetite regulation, genetics, and metabolic changes can all play a role.

And GLP-1 medications work on biological pathways involved in hunger, fullness, and blood sugar regulation.

That isn't cheating. That's medicine.

Does that mean GLP-1s are right for everyone? Absolutely not.

Does it mean nutrition, movement, and healthy habits no longer matter? Of course not.

But choosing to explore a medical treatment doesn't mean someone has given up on themselves.

Sometimes it means they're finally getting the support they've needed all along.

So before we judge another woman's health decisions, let's remember that we don't know her medical history, her struggles, or how hard she's already tried.

Women deserve support, not shame.

And you should never have to justify wanting to feel better in your own body.

đź’¬ Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right, but your body just wasn't responding?

PERSONAL TRAINERS, this conversation is for YOU!

If you're training women in their mid-30s, 40s, and beyond, there's something we need to talk about more… PERIMENOPAUSE.

That client who suddenly feels exhausted halfway through her workout? The one who's struggling with recovery, noticing changes in her body, or frustrated because what used to work isn't working anymore?

There could be more going on than you realize.

Perimenopause symptoms can begin earlier than many women expect, sometimes even in their mid-30s.

When asked me what I wish more personal trainers understood about perimenopause, my answer wasn't that they need to become hormone experts.

It's that they need to be part of the conversation.

Recognize when something seems different. Listen when your clients tell you they're struggling. Be understanding when their energy, strength, or recovery changes.

And most importantly, don't be afraid to suggest that they have a conversation with a qualified healthcare provider.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing you can do for a client isn't changing her workout.

It's helping her recognize that what she's experiencing deserves attention.

Trainers, are you having these conversations with your female clients? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 👇

And make sure you're following for more conversations about fitness and women's health!

You're not just tired. You're tired of BEING tired.

And you're even more tired of hearing, "It's normal at your age."

Sound familiar?

You're getting your sleep (or at least trying to), drinking your water, making an effort to move your body, and doing all the things you're told you're supposed to do.

Yet somehow, you're STILL exhausted.

Here's what I want women over 40 to understand…

Just because fatigue is COMMON during perimenopause doesn't mean it's something you should automatically accept.

Hormonal fluctuations can affect your sleep, energy, and overall well-being. But hormones aren't always the whole story.

Thyroid issues, iron deficiency, stress, and other health concerns can contribute to that constant feeling of exhaustion, too.

And that's exactly why we need to stop brushing off women's symptoms as "just getting older."

You deserve someone who listens, asks questions, and helps you understand WHY you're feeling the way you do. đź’™

Because the goal isn't just to push through another day.

It's to start feeling like yourself again.

Tell me, what's harder for you lately — falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up feeling like you never slept at all?

We put hormone health and fitness head-to-head with a little game of WOULD YOU RATHER, and let's just say… some of these choices weren't so easy! 👀

Because navigating your 40s and beyond means figuring out what actually works for YOUR body, from hormones and energy to strength and feeling like yourself again.

I had so much fun teaming up with for this one!

Wait… you can use an estrogen patch AND vaginal estrogen?!

YES! And you might be surprised to learn why.

One of the biggest misconceptions about hormone therapy is that all estrogen treatments do the same thing.

They don't!

✨Estrogen patches work throughout your body, helping manage symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and other menopause-related concerns.

✨Low-dose vaginal estrogen works primarily where it's applied, helping with vaginal dryness, irritation, painful s*x, and certain urinary symptoms.

But here's what a lot of women don't realize…

Being on an estrogen patch doesn't automatically mean your vaginal symptoms will go away.

That's right! You can be treating your hot flashes and night sweats and STILL be experiencing dryness or discomfort down there.

And that's why some women benefit from using BOTH.

The takeaway? Hormone therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Different symptoms may need different approaches, and your treatment should be based on YOUR body, health history, and needs.

You deserve to understand your options, not just be told that what you're experiencing is a normal part of aging. đź’™

Did you know vaginal estrogen and estrogen patches worked differently?

Never have I ever… Perimenopause Edition!

What happens when a Personal Trainer and a Hormone Specialist sit down to play a little game about perimenopause?

Turns out, even the women helping OTHER women navigate this stage of life have their own stories to tell.

From the funny moments to the frustrating ones, we're laughing about the things so many women are experiencing but don't always talk about.

Because sometimes the best thing you can hear is, "Wait… that happens to you too?!"

Perimenopause isn't always funny, but being able to laugh about some of these experiences makes us feel a little less alone.

Now it's YOUR turn!

How many times would you have raised your hand during this game?

Can we PLEASE retire these perimenopause myths already?!

Women are being told they're too young, too stressed, or that everything they're experiencing is just a normal part of getting older.

And while hormonal changes are a natural part of life, that doesn't mean you have to ignore symptoms that are affecting your quality of life.

Let's normalize asking questions, understanding our bodies, and exploring treatment options that actually make sense for US.

Which one of these myths have YOU heard? Drop it in the comments!

10/23/2026

And the worst part? NONE of them know who's in charge.

We've got one who's exhausted, one who's sweating, one who's ready to cry, and one who's about to lose her mind because someone is chewing too loudly.

And somehow, we're all expected to show up, be productive, and act like functioning adults.

Welcome to perimenopause, where you never know which version of yourself is showing up today!

But ladies, if these mood swings are starting to feel a little TOO familiar, your hormones might have something to say about it.

The good news? You don't have to just put up with it.

You are not “too young” to start asking questions about perimenopause.

For many women, hormone changes can begin years before their periods stop completely. And sometimes the first signs aren’t dramatic hot flashes.

They can look more like:
poor sleep, mood changes, anxiety, brain fog, heavier or irregular periods, lower libido, fatigue, or simply feeling like something has changed.

That’s why age alone shouldn’t stop you from asking questions.

If you don’t feel like yourself, it’s okay to start paying attention, tracking symptoms, and having the conversation sooner rather than later.

You know your body better than anyone.
