🌟Menopause doesn’t only change your periods. It can change how your body handles cholesterol, blood sugar, bone, and your thyroid, and you can’t feel most of that happening. 👀

‼️That’s why I recommend a baseline in your 40s. It’s simply knowing where you’re starting from, so if something changes you catch it early instead of guessing. It also helps you figure out whether what you’re feeling is hormones or something else that’s easy to treat.

The 4 labs to ask about (save this 📌):

1️⃣ Advanced cholesterol: ApoB and Lp(a), not just the standard numbers
2️⃣ Blood sugar and insulin: A1c, fasting glucose, and fasting insulin
3️⃣ Bone health: a baseline bone density scan and vitamin D
4️⃣ Thyroid: TSH, free T4, and thyroid antibodies (TPO and anti-thyroglobulin) to check for autoimmune thyroid disease. Thyroid problems can look just like menopause.
