Firstly, a couple of comments from me. Yes, this is an AI generated video with MY VOICE in the voiceover, and my real selfie with lots of instructions to stay true to my appearance, lines, wrinkles, affect, hair color, texture , and strand definition, skin texture etc… but as the TBI recovery continues, my fine motor skills make it hard to do my own hair and make up and I don’t want y’all to see me look a mess..
#2-these are my REAL new glasses! But somehow AI is the only way I can video myself without the glare so you can see my face and eyes! Work in progress…
The content, though is sincere. I’m looking into PPO credentialing and even revamping my business structure to allow me to contract with even more panels! But it will be bit of a bear to do—but worth it to me if it worth it for clients to access therapy. Let me know!

Would having more insurance options make therapy more accessible for you? 💙

I believe that finding a therapist you genuinely connect with shouldn’t be limited by whether you can afford to pay out of pocket.

As I continue rebuilding and expanding my practice at Alongside, Together, I’m exploring ways to make relational, trauma-informed therapy more financially accessible while maintaining the quality and personalized care I value.

I currently accept select insurance plans through Headway, but I’m considering expanding my network participation to include:

• Aetna Open Access Managed Choice
• Blue Shield of California PPO
• UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus

And I’d love your input!

If you’ve been wanting to start therapy—or return to it—but insurance coverage has been a barrier, I’d love to hear from you.

💬 Are you covered by one of these plans?

💬 Is there another insurance plan you’d like to see me accept?

💬 Would having access to in-network therapy make a meaningful difference in your ability to seek support?

I’m gathering feedback before making any decisions, and your responses will help me better understand what people actually need.

Because meaningful therapy should be about finding the right therapeutic relationship—not just finding someone on an insurance list.

Please share in the comments or send me a private message. No need to share anything personal about your mental health—just the insurance plans you’d like to see represented.

Thank you for helping me think through how to make care more accessible, sustainable, and responsive to our communities. 💙

You make time for everyone else. What about you? 🌿

For the people who depend on you.
For the work that matters to you.
For your family, your relationships, your community, and the responsibilities you carry.

You show up. Again and again.

But when was the last time you made space to check in with yourself—not because something was falling apart, but because your wellbeing matters, too?

Therapy can be an intentional pause in a demanding week. A place to explore what’s weighing on you, recognize familiar patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and consider how you want to show up in your relationships and everyday life.

Not to become someone entirely different, but to feel more connected to the person you already are—and the person you’re continuing to become.

You deserve support, too. And if you have mental health benefits through your insurance, this might be a good time to put them to use.

I’m currently welcoming new clients to Alongside, Together, with late-morning and early-afternoon telehealth appointments for California residents.

Through Headway, I’m credentialed with:

* Aetna
* Anthem Blue Cross
* Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
* Carelon Behavioral Health
* Curative
* Oxford / UnitedHealthcare (Optum)

Coverage and eligibility vary by plan and location.

My approach is collaborative, relational, culturally centered, and trauma-informed. Together, we can explore attachment and relationship patterns, navigate grief and stress, and cultivate ways of caring for yourself while remaining meaningfully connected to the people and responsibilities that matter to you.

An hour for yourself isn’t an hour taken away from everyone else. It’s an hour that belongs to you.

💛 Book a free consultation through my direct Headway link in bio. You can also check your insurance benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs before scheduling.

Alongside, Together | Relational Therapy for Real Life

Therapy with me. A real human. A real relationship.

AI can offer information, suggestions, and even comforting words. But therapy is more than finding the right words.

It’s about being seen, heard, understood, and accompanied by another human being.

At Alongside, Together, I bring over 20 years of clinical experience, a deep understanding of trauma and the nervous system, and something no algorithm can replicate: my own humanity.

I listen for what you say—and what might be difficult to put into words. I notice, wonder, laugh with you, and stay curious. We make room for complexity, contradiction, grief, humor, and all the things that make us human.

Because healing isn’t simply about getting better answers. Sometimes, it’s about having a different experience of being in relationship.

Technology can be a tool. Human connection is something else entirely.

I’m here for that.

When someone tells me they’re lonely, I’m more curious about what connection requires of them. Who reaches back? Where can they show up tired? Who makes room for the person they are now?

I’m also learning to make room for smaller, quieter ways of being together. A short walk. A familiar face. Sharing a meal. Company without an occasion—or the expectation that I’ll be my old self.

And I leave room for the grief of relationships that haven’t adapted alongside me.

Loneliness deserves more care than “put yourself out there.” Sometimes we need someone to meet us halfway. Sometimes we need a community where staying connected doesn’t depend on how much we can organize, offer, or carry.

That understanding now comes with me into the therapy room. 🤍

🌿 A small ritual for connection and belonging

Spend five minutes with a familiar tree, nearby plants, or birds outside your window. Meet them as earthly relatives—lives sharing this place with yours.

Quietly offer:
“Hello. I’m here again. What have I been too hurried to notice?”

Leave some quiet. Notice light, movement, sound. Let companionship grow through returning, without needing a lesson or a profound experience.

Ask: “What would being a good neighbor look like here?” Perhaps tending a plant, picking up litter, conserving water, or giving wildlife room.

You can arrive tired. You can feel distracted. Notice one thing.

You belong here, too. Just be with. 🌱

Sometimes adapting to changing capacity looks like… a new pair of glasses. 👓

Since my TBI, I’ve noticed changes in my vision that have meant updating my prescription. As a therapist who meets with clients virtually, seeing comfortably and clearly is part of what supports my work.

Two eyes—“the better to connect with you.” 💙

It’s also reminded me how easily we postpone attending to our own changing needs when so much depends on us.

Maybe you’re noticing that you need more rest between commitments. That concentrating takes more effort. That pain, disrupted sleep, grief, illness, or hormonal changes are affecting how you move through your day. The routines that once worked may need adjusting.

Attending to those changes takes time: making the appointment, getting answers, finding the right tools, adjusting your schedule, or asking someone to take something off your plate.

And when you’re a parent, partner, professional, caregiver—or the person everyone calls—making that room can feel difficult. You may keep telling yourself, “After I get everyone else settled.”

But your needs deserve a place on the calendar, too.

Giving yourself time and support can help you continue showing up in the roles you care about. Sometimes that also means renegotiating how much you carry and letting others share the responsibility.

My own recovery continues to deepen how I understand this in my work: the quiet effort it takes to function, and the courage it can take to say, “Something has changed. I need to make room for it.”

You deserve care because you are a person with needs, even when no one is depending on you.

What have you been meaning to attend to for yourself?
