🎄🌿 Holiday shopping has officially begun at the Herbal Porch Farm Stand!

I am shopping, shopping, shopping and looking for some fun, useful, and unique goodies to fill the porch for the holidays!

I’m thinking hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, little treats for yourself, and thoughtful gifts for the hard-to-shop-for people on your list.

I love discovering products that are a little different, natural, practical, and just plain wonderful. Moon Valley Organics is one of my favorites! I’ve ordered lots of their wonderful foaming hand soaps and lotion bars (which were a HUGE hit last year!). Their shampoo bars are my personal favorite, although they are currently being reformulated.

I’d love to hear what YOU would be interested in seeing at the farm stand!

Here are some ideas I’m considering:

🌿 Handmade and natural soaps
🌿 Foaming pump hand soaps
🌿 Lotion bars
🌿 Shampoo bars
🌿 Lip balms
🌿 Magnesium oil
🌿 Herbal teas
🌿 Herbal salts and seasoning blends
🌿 Other fun food and herbal goodies
🌿 Wellness protocol packs
🌿 Small wellness and self-care gifts
🌿 Stocking stuffers and hostess gifts

I’m also considering offering a little gift packaging service! You could pick out your goodies, and I would package everything in a pretty gift bag with coordinating tissue paper and a gift tag. One less thing for you to do during the busy holiday season! 🎁

So, tell me what would make YOU stop by the porch and shop!

Are there products you’d love to see? Something you’ve tried and loved? Something you’ve been wanting to try?

And would you be interested in having your purchases packaged and ready for gifting?

I want to make the porch a fun little place to find unique, natural gifts and goodies this holiday season! 🌿🎄

One of the biggest issues driving me to vote is the future of medical freedom and the direction Pennsylvania is heading.

As a conservative Christian and Republican, I believe our freedoms come from God, not government. I don’t want politicians deciding what medical treatments I can receive, what healthcare choices I can make, or what is best for my family. I don’t want medical mandates, government control, or an expanding government healthcare system that takes more money out of the pockets of hardworking taxpayers.

I also have serious concerns about expanding taxpayer-funded healthcare programs without meaningful accountability. I work in home care and have firsthand experience with the waiver system. I see hardworking families and taxpayers funding programs that need better oversight, accountability, and expectations around personal responsibility. People who genuinely cannot work deserve compassion and appropriate care. But able-bodied adults who can work should be encouraged and expected to contribute rather than automatically relying on taxpayers.

I believe in:

* Medical freedom and informed consent.
* Parental rights and the freedom to make our own healthcare decisions.
* Limited government and responsible use of our tax dollars.
* Secure borders and enforcement of immigration laws.
* No sanctuary cities.
* Protecting our Amish communities and all our neighbors.
* Religious liberty and the freedom to live openly according to our Christian faith.

I don’t believe government should be the answer to every problem, and I certainly don’t believe it should have more control over our lives.

If these issues matter to you, please get out and vote. Pennsylvania’s future, our freedoms, our families, and our tax dollars are worth standing up for!

What a fantastic weekend at the Quantum Leap Conference in Lake Mary, Florida!

I was blessed to stay with some wonderful longtime friends, along with a few new friends, in a beautiful Florida home right next door to the venue. It made the entire weekend even more special!

We spent all day Friday, all day Saturday, and half of Sunday surrounded by fellow Quantum Nutrition practitioners. Three days filled with learning, sharing ideas, exchanging experiences, laughing, connecting, and listening to some fabulous speakers. There is something pretty special about being in a room full of people who share your passion for natural health and helping others get to the root of their health challenges.

And because we couldn’t spend the entire weekend learning, we even squeezed in a Saturday night outing to Disney Springs!

So much knowledge, great conversations, new connections, familiar faces, and plenty of laughs. I came home refreshed, inspired, and grateful for such a memorable weekend.

Already looking forward to the next one!

I did not intend to be a curly girl all weekend… But the Florida weather had other plans so I just rolled with it 🤣

Something interesting I learned from a veterinarian speaking at the Quantum Leap Conference…

Did you know that a 3-pound Chihuahua receives the same rabies vaccine dose as a 150-pound Great Dane?

Same dose. Regardless of size.

The veterinarian brought up something else that caught my attention: small dogs are often hyperactive, shaky, and seem to have very nervous temperaments.

It makes you stop and think. Could the amount of vaccine relative to their body size be a contributing factor?

Why do we use the same dose for such vastly different-sized animals?

I think these are questions worth asking. We should never stop being curious about what we’re putting into our animals’ bodies and how it may affect them.

✨ BIG things are happening in the world of natural healthcare!

I’m in Florida attending the Quantum Leap Into Health Conference 2026, a gathering of practitioners, educators, and leaders who share a passion for looking deeper into health and wellness.

Three days of learning, networking, and exploring new information on topics including:

🌿 Gut health and the microbiome
🌿 Hormones and women’s health
🌿 Detoxification and environmental toxins
🌿 Nutrition and metabolic health
🌿 Chronic illness and functional health
🌿 New approaches to supporting the body’s natural processes

I’m here because I believe we should never stop learning. The more we understand about the body, nutrition, and the many factors that influence our health, the better equipped we are to help others.

I’m excited to bring new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and ideas back to Laurel Hill Wellness!

Always learning. Always growing. Always looking deeper. ❤️

🦴 POSTURE SERIES | PART 4
Let’s Work on Improving That Posture!

We’ve talked about forward head carriage, rounded shoulders, protruding shoulder blades, and the hump that can develop at the base of the neck.

Now let’s talk about what you can actually DO about it!

The goal isn’t to force yourself to stand stiffly straight all day. It’s to improve mobility, strengthen the muscles that support your head and upper back, and help your body move into more comfortable positions.

Here are four simple exercises to get you started.

1. CHIN TUCKS

This is a great place to start if you tend to carry your head forward.

✔️ Sit or stand upright and look straight ahead.
✔️ Gently draw your chin straight backward, as though you’re making a double chin.
✔️ Keep your eyes level. Don’t tilt your head up or down.
✔️ Hold for 3–5 seconds, then relax.

Repeat 8–10 times.

You should feel a gentle effort in the muscles of your neck, not pain. Don’t push your head backward forcefully.

2. SHOULDER BLADE SQUEEZES

These help strengthen the muscles that support your shoulder blades.

✔️ Sit or stand comfortably with your arms relaxed.
✔️ Gently draw your shoulder blades toward each other.
✔️ Keep your shoulders down and relaxed rather than shrugging.
✔️ Hold for 5 seconds, then release.

Repeat 10 times.

Don’t squeeze as hard as you can. Gentle, controlled movement is what we’re after.

3. DOORWAY CHEST STRETCH

If your shoulders tend to roll forward, this stretch may help relieve tightness across the front of your chest.

✔️ Stand in a doorway with your forearms resting against the doorframe.
✔️ Keep your elbows around shoulder height or slightly lower.
✔️ Gently step forward until you feel a mild stretch across your chest.
✔️ Hold for 15–20 seconds while breathing normally.

Repeat 2–3 times.

Don’t force the stretch or continue if you feel shoulder pain, tingling, or numbness.

4. WALL ANGELS

This exercise encourages upper-back mobility and controlled shoulder movement.

✔️ Stand with your back against a wall, feet slightly forward.
✔️ Keep your head in a comfortable, neutral position.
✔️ Place your arms against the wall in a goalpost position if comfortable.
✔️ Slowly slide your arms upward only as far as you can without pain or forcing your lower back to arch.
✔️ Return to the starting position.

Try 5–8 repetitions.

If this is uncomfortable or difficult, start with a smaller range of movement. You don’t have to keep every part of your arms against the wall.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU DO THESE?

Start with once a day, using comfortable movements and good control. You can gradually increase as tolerated.

Consistency matters more than doing a large number of repetitions. Stop if an exercise causes pain, dizziness, tingling, numbness, or other unusual symptoms.

Remember, these exercises aren’t a universal fix for every postural change. Persistent pain, significant shoulder-blade winging, or a new hump at the base of the neck deserves individual assessment.

✨ COMING IN PART 5: Simple everyday changes that can help you maintain better posture at your phone, computer, in the car, and throughout your day.

Small steps can make a difference

🔥 LET’S TALK ABOUT PROTEIN!

Men and women, this one is for you!

Are we eating enough protein to support our bodies, or have we become so focused on eating less that we’re overlooking what our bodies actually need?

As we age, maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important. Muscle supports strength, mobility, metabolic health, and healthy aging.

Yet so many people start their day with coffee and toast, eat a light lunch, and save most of their protein for dinner.

Then they wonder why they’re struggling with muscle loss, stubborn weight, constant cravings, or feeling less strong than they used to.

Here’s something to think about: What if the answer isn’t simply eating less, but giving your body more of what it needs?

🥚 Are you intentionally eating protein at every meal?

💪 Have you noticed a difference in your strength or body composition as you’ve gotten older?

🥩 Do you think we’ve become too focused on calories and not focused enough on nutrition?

Let’s hear your thoughts! Men and women, I want to hear from you! 👇
