World Mental Health Day 💚
Grief doesn’t always look like sadness.
After pregnancy or infant loss, it can show up as exhaustion, anger, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, trouble sleeping, withdrawing from others, or feeling disconnected from a world that seems to have kept moving.
On World Mental Health Day, we want to make space for that reality.
Caring for your mental health after loss doesn’t mean trying to “move on” or finding a way to stop grieving. Sometimes it means learning how to carry grief while still caring for the person carrying it.
That might look like talking with a therapist, joining a support group, setting boundaries, asking for help, taking a break from plans, finding ways to honor your baby, or simply acknowledging that today is a hard day.
There is no timeline for grief, and you don’t have to wait until you’re struggling to seek support. 🤍
You can join us tomorrow for the Footprints On Our Hearts Walk & 5k tomorrow for that support and to be in community.
But if we don’t see you tomorrow, we hope you can find a way this week to be in community and take care of yourself.
Today, and every day, your mental health deserves care too. What is one way you look after your mental health?
