August 2024. Made this device as a handstand balancing prop/tool, from a few found objects, measured shoulders distance apart, over 30years ago.
Never developed any to near mastery with, or even any consistency of use with. And sometime after this final used had put out to pasture.

—Patrick Stewart, immortalized on the actors’ quote board during the 1995 production of The Tempest at the Delacorte Theater. A George C Wolfe production.

I worked on that production, and I’ve never forgotten hearing him say it. Of all the lines to remember, that’s the one that stayed with me.

Rest in peace, Patrick Stewart.
