Minnesota Nurse Practitioners invites Nurse Practitioners from across the Rochester area to join us as Mayor Kim Norton officially proclaims November 8–14, 2026, as Nurse Practitioner Week in the City of Rochester.

Monday, November 9, 2026
11:00 a.m.
Rochester City Hall – Atrium
201 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN

Mayor Norton will read the official proclamation recognizing Nurse Practitioner Week and the contributions Nurse Practitioners make to patients and communities throughout Rochester and Minnesota. Following the proclamation reading, attendees will have an opportunity to join Mayor Norton for a group photo.

We know that stepping away from clinical responsibilities in the middle of a Monday can be challenging, but we would love to have a strong representation of Rochester's NP community join us for this special recognition.

All nurse practitioners in the Rochester area are welcome—you do not need to be an MNNP member to attend.
We hope you can join us as we kick off Nurse Practitioner Week and celebrate the important role nurse practitioners play in our community!

Hey you, yes you! MNNP needs your help,we have been expanding our reach as an organization over the past few years with our annual conference, transition to practice conference for graduating NPs and working collaboratively legislatively to reform the the requirements for new NP graduates.

The following Board positions are open for nomination (2 year term, with terms starting January 2027).

Secretary-- records minutes for each meeting and maintains organizational records

Communication Liaison-- manages MNNP website, Facebook & Linkedin Pages and Microsoft Account.

Membership Liaison-works to increase MNNP membership and develop membership recruitment initiatives

Education Co- Liaison--work collaboratively with other Education Co-Liaison in planning of annual conference, annual Transition to Practice Conference and other educational initiatives.

Student Member -provides student NP input into deliberations and planning.

We look forward to you stepping forward to participate in the MNNP Board of Directors. Please complete the survey by Wednesday November 25th 2026. . Elections will occur electronically shortly after the deadline.
