There is a quiet cost to asking everyone else what you should do: sometimes, your own voice becomes the hardest one to hear.
Even well-meaning advice can leave you pulled in different directions. You begin weighing what everyone thinks, trying to find an answer that earns agreement, and lose sight of what feels right for your own life.
Part of my healing has been learning to give my own judgment a place in the conversation.
I can value someone’s wisdom and still make a different choice. I can sit with a decision before explaining it. And I can take responsibility for my next step without needing everyone to understand it first.
That takes practice, especially when seeking reassurance has become a habit.
In this video, I’m sharing something I had to unlearn, and how learning to trust myself has shaped the way I move forward.
If you’re learning to hear your own voice again, give yourself room to use it. Your perspective deserves your attention, too. 💜
Have you ever delayed a decision while waiting for everyone else to agree?
