Registered Massage Therapists are regulated as a registered health care profession provincially. In Ontario, we have a number of mandatory in-clinic duties and practices, as well as many behind-the-scenes admin duties. One of which is to respond to annual education requirements, and to complete administrative requests sent out by our regulating body for Ontario.
As Registered Massage Therapist and owner of Realign and Flow Massage and Wellness my favourite elements of my work weighs more towards each and every client interaction! We love supporting clients as they feel comfortable coming in for various treatment plans offering services of Registered Massage Therapy, Energy-balancing treatments and complementing Self-Care guidance/suggestions for client self-care.
This week I had some important “computer-admin” work to complete for my regulation organization. -which, while I don’t love sitting at a computer, (at all) it feels good to work for a health profession interested in protecting the rights and good health care of the public. One of the ways they do this, is by contacting all RMT’s in Ontario to complete annual questionnaire’s for self-inquiry and to uphold Standards of Practice for excellent health care.
I also happen to receive great joy when these computer parts of my job are *finished and complete*! Which for this year, is! 🙂!
In my calendar it shows that Fridays are my day off.. here is a behind-the-studio peek as an example of what else I do as a RMT and business owner. 💻💁🏻♀️
Now I have real free-time to enjoy this gorgeous weather we’re gifted in Ottawa region!
