🐺 THE WAY OF THE WOLF – INTRODUCTION TO SHAMANISM 🐺

Walking the old ways in a new world.

Have you ever felt drawn to shamanism but weren't sure where to begin? Or perhaps you're curious about connecting more deeply with nature, the elements and the spiritual world?

This November, join me for The Way of the Wolf – Introduction to Shamanism, where we'll explore the foundations of this ancient spiritual practice and how we can bring its wisdom into our everyday lives.

🌿 During this session, we'll explore:

🐺 What is Shamanism? – Understanding its origins, traditions and the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.

🧭 The Sacred Directions – Exploring the four directions, their symbolism and how we can work with them.

🔥 The Elements – Connecting with Earth, Air, Fire and Water and understanding their roles within shamanic practice.

🪶 Creating a Sacred Altar – Learning how to create your own personal altar using meaningful objects, natural materials and spiritual tools.

✨ Opening Sacred Space – Discovering how to call upon the directions and elements, set intentions and create a sacred space for spiritual work.

This will be a practical, relaxed and welcoming session, giving you the opportunity to experience some of these practices for yourself and begin developing your own connection to the shamanic path.

Whether you're completely new to shamanism or looking to deepen your understanding, everyone is welcome.

As the final harvest comes to an end and the darker half of the year begins, we welcome Samhain (pronounced Sow-in), one of the most sacred festivals on the Pagan Wheel of the Year.

Rooted in ancient Celtic traditions, Samhain marks the transition from summer to winter and is traditionally considered the beginning of the Celtic New Year.

🌙 When the Veil Between Worlds Thins

One of the most significant beliefs surrounding Samhain is that the veil separating the living and spirit worlds becomes thinner, making it easier for spirits and ancestors to cross between the two.

It is believed that during this time, our connection to the spirit world is heightened, making Samhain particularly powerful for divination, ancestral communication and spiritual reflection.

🕯️ Honouring the Ancestors

Traditionally, fires and candles were lit to honour and welcome ancestral spirits. Offerings of food and drink were sometimes left out for departed loved ones, while places at the table could be set in their honour.

Bonfires also played an important role in ancient Samhain celebrations, symbolising protection, purification and the transition into winter.

🔮 Death, Rebirth & Transformation

Samhain is not simply about death, but the natural cycle of life, death and rebirth. As nature retreats into stillness, we are reminded that endings create space for new beginnings.

It is a time for shadow work, releasing the past, honouring those who came before us and trusting the wisdom found within the darkness.

Samhain reminds us that although the seasons change and life moves through its cycles, the love, wisdom and memories of those who came before us remain. 🖤

The Full Moon in Ta**us invites us to slow down, reconnect with the Earth and reflect on what truly makes us feel safe, secure and fulfilled.

Known as the Hunter’s Moon, this Full Moon takes its name from the time of year when our ancestors traditionally prepared for the colder months ahead, gathering resources and ensuring they had enough to see them through winter.

Ta**us is an Earth sign, ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty and abundance. Its energy encourages us to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, nurture our self-worth and find comfort in the present moment.

But Full Moons are also a time of illumination and release. Under this Ta**us Moon, we are encouraged to recognise where we may be holding on too tightly, whether that’s to material possessions, familiar routines, relationships or beliefs that no longer support our growth.
