When a new client who didn't give much away then tells the person who recommended me that he gives me 10/10. And not only rebooks but also books his wife in as well next time 😁

I was asked recently what is my ideal target client group.

So long as they have no contraindicated health condition, pretty much anyone is welcome.

But I do love to try convincing those groups who could really benefit but don't realise it.

Body dysmorphia. All bodies are amazing even if you don't think so. Don't be shy with me.

Psoriasis. Particularly if you're self conscious. See my comments above.

Abuse. Probably the hardest group to win over, but for me it's about safety and trust.

Then there's bullying. Anxiety. Bereavement. Anything when you wish you felt better about yourself.

Then there's fibromyalgia, ME and CFS.

Here's a thought for my friends. We're always taught as therapists never to devalue our services by offering "Mate's Rates".

So here's a different idea just for my friends.

Pay What You Think It Was Worth.

Whether that turns out more or less than my going rates is down to the results.

Just over a month ago I had my first client booking at Magnolia Therapy Centre .

If you prefer to have your treatment away from home instead of my mobile service, ask to have it there when you book with me. It's even open into the early evening during the week, so you can go there straight after a stressful day at work!

And on the main A60 into Nottingham from the North, it's super easy to find!

Most people have heard of hot stones massage, it's another one of those quite popular therapies.

Yes, the black, often shiny ones.

So what are these? I like to train in the less well known modalities, to offer clients something a bit different and harder to find.

You are looking at Himalayan salt stones.
Reputedly helpful for fibromyalgia sufferers, imparting scores of minerals and removing negative ions.

Like the black basalt ones, they are also warmed up for application. 🔥

And the massage is very gentle, involving a mix of effleurage and resting stones.

And is carried out using powder on the body instead of oil.
If you want to experience this superb but unusual and hard to locate massage, you can contact me to make an appointment for either the Magnolia Therapy Centre on the north side of Nottingham, or have it in your home.

If you like massage, there are plenty of styles out there, from Swedish body to Thai foot, Indian head to Deep tissue, hot stones to warm bamboo, to name a few of the most well known and easy to find.

But have you discovered Moroccan Sacred Candle Back Massage?

It hasn't had the same publicity as some of the more mainstream ones mentioned above. Having been developed by a single pioneering company in the UK, the network of trainers and practitioners is small in comparison to the more widely known massage therapies, so finding a therapist could mean having to travel a significant distance.

But not if you live near Nottingham! I offer this gorgeous treatment at the Magnolia Therapy Centre located on the A60, or even in your own home.

You get :-
• To make a wish or blessing as you start with a candle lighting ceremony
• An exfoliating back scrub and traditional olive soap back wash
• The warm molten candle wax back massage, with its Rose Otto aroma.
• The sound of Guedra drum music throughout

So why not try something a little different to the usual?

You all know I do full body hot stones massage, and that I introduce a selected number of them during my signature back massage too, so with the chillier season on the way, I will now feature the cosy toes stones in my Thai foot massage. As I work on one foot at a time, the resting foot is always wrapped in a towel for warmth, but imagine being wrapped up with these heated up little beauties in place!

Now the weather is getting noticeably cooler and the nights are drawing in, what better time to enjoy a relaxing massage? If you have the room, why not have it done at home?

An important question for all my female friends please!

Male therapists can find it harder in this business, and I previously asked for feedback about approachability and trustworthiness, to which I received some very encouraging comments.

So, as I'm continuously developing and looking into new courses, this question is directed to any MOTHERS or potential mothers.

I now have the opportunity to train in Pregnancy Massage. A big market but more specialist as it's important to know about the increased risk factors.

How many of you feel that you would get/would have got/did get, some benefit from having one, and how many would be/would have been happy if I were the therapist?
