In just 17 days, Global FICCS will be heading to Arusha, Tanzania! and we can’t wait!

At Global FICCS, our mission has always been to Educate, Elevate and Empower, because we believe that when we equip healthcare professionals with the right knowledge and skills, we strengthen their ability to save lives.

In this video, Dr. Parag, Dr. Ijeoma and Dr. W***y demonstrate bedside cardiac ultrasound, showing how to acquire a subcostal view to assess left ventricular function following the successful resuscitation of a patient in ventricular fibrillation (VF).

This is a glimpse of the kind of knowledge and practical skills that can make a difference.

Join us in Arusha on November 9th for the cardiac conference as we learn from one another, share experiences and continue working towards better cardiovascular care across Africa.

We look forward to seeing you there!

After our first virtual BLS and ACLS training earlier this year, our team, Carol, and Dr. Bisrat made it to the ground for our first physical training in Benin, working with medical professionals at the Central National Hospitalier Universitaire.

In a hospital where every day brings someone who needs care, we spent time sharing skills that could mean the difference between a heartbeat being lost and a life being saved.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do this, taking lifesaving knowledge to the people who can carry it forward.

A heartfelt thank you to AJ Hale, the Dennis and Jane Reese Foundation, Foundation Cesaire Maffon, and the Global Cardiovascular Collaborative for opening this door and supporting us along the way.

Earlier this year, Benin was a screen and two days of virtual BLS & ACLS training. Today, we’re here in person, turning that knowledge into hands-on skills.

This afternoon, we trained a football team who lost one of their own to cardiac arrest. They came to learn CPR, but more importantly, to be ready for each other.

Tomorrow, 40–50 more people will learn these life-saving skills.

Educate. Elevate. Empower. One person, one team, one community at a time.

You don’t have to be a medical professional to know how to help.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, to anyone and sometimes, the person there first is simply an everyday community member.

Through our mission to educate, elevate and empower, we’re making essential first aid skills accessible to everyone. Here, Carol demonstrates how to safely put on and remove gloves to help prevent infection and protect both the responder and the person they’re helping.

Want your community, school, workplace or team to be better prepared? Reach out to us to learn more about our first aid trainings.

Last week, we went to the Hawkers Girls Market Centre to teach first aid, but they taught us something beautiful too.

Through Ho’oponopono, we shared four simple words:

I’m sorry. I love you. Please forgive me. Thank you.

In a world with so much pain, we may not always be able to reach people physically, but we can still send them love, hope and the reminder that they are not alone.

For the second time, we are honoured to be invited to the African Conference on Emergency Medicine(AfCEM) in Tanzania, Arusha

We’ll be presenting on Acute Coronary Syndromes and leading hands-on training in ACLS, arrhythmias, chest pain, POCUS and airway management.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to learn, teach, share and grow alongside healthcare professionals who are committed to better patient care.

We continue to Educate. Elevate. Empower.

Today, we celebrate the visionary behind our Educate • Elevate • Empower mission.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Parag

Thank you for leading with compassion, inspiring change, and reminding us that the greatest impact comes from empowering others. Wishing you a year filled with purpose, joy, and continued impact.

Our team had the opportunity to train staff in CPR and first aid , equipping them with the skills and confidence to respond when a medical emergency happens.

Being in the middle of the forest means that help isn't always immediately accessible, so knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make a real difference.

This is at the heart of what we do at Global FICCS to Educate, Elevate and Empower people with practical skills that can help them protect and save lives when it matters most.

Seeing someone believe in themselves, work through every challenge, and finally reach a milestone they've worked so hard for is something truly special.

When we met Eveline through our partners, Hawkers Market Girls Center, we saw her resilience, determination, and hope. Today, we're incredibly proud to celebrate her as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a milestone she has earned through hard work and perseverance.

Eveline's journey is a beautiful reflection of our mission to Educate, Elevate, and Empower. This is only the beginning, and we can't wait to see all that she'll accomplish.

Congratulations, Eveline. We're so proud of you.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Mariatou, a registered nurse from The Gambia, and hear how the Global FICCS BLS & ACLS training has shaped her journey as a healthcare professional.

In this heartfelt conversation, she shares how the training gave her the confidence to teach life-saving CPR, strengthen emergency response, and play a part in advancing cardiac care within her community.

She also reflects on an exciting milestone for The Gambia, the introduction of a cardiac catheterization laboratory, bringing advanced cardiac care closer to home and expanding hope for countless patients.

Mariatou, we see your passion, your dedication, and the impact you're creating. We are proud to have you as part of the Global FICCS dreamteam. Thank you for choosing to share your knowledge with others and for reminding us why this work matters.

Stories like Mariatou's are at the heart of our mission to educate, elevate, and empower. Every healthcare professional who gains the confidence to lead, teach, and care for others creates a ripple effect that continues long after the training ends. We're honored to be part of that journey.
