In 40+ years of shaping senior living, Bob Kramer never accepted an industry board seat… until now, joining Lifespark’s Board of Directors.

He co-founded the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), and he founded Nexus Insights. The industry calls him its “agent provocateur,” the one scouting the trends that will disrupt senior housing, aging services, and even aging itself.

“What sets Lifespark apart is that it isn’t promising results. It’s already delivering them, measuring them, and using what it learns to keep improving,” said Kramer.

A note to seniors and the people who love them:

Don’t assume your children will somehow know what you want as you age.

Tell your family what quality of life means to you. Put your wishes in writing. Explain where you draw the line between living longer and living well.

Lifespark CEO Joel Theisen, BSN, RN, has seen families spend months arguing over what a loved one would have wanted, because no one asked while they still could.

When families understand those wishes, something remarkable happens. They can focus on being sons and daughters instead of decision makers, spouses instead of advocates, grandchildren instead of witnesses.
