Some of our Nutrition and Food Science students traveled to San Antonio, TX, this past weekend to attend the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE)! 🍎🥼

From exploring the latest innovations in nutrition and dietetics to connecting with professionals and future colleagues, FNCE was an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and get inspired for their future careers as registered dietitians! 🥗✨

A huge thank you to Paisley, the T1D Youth Ambassadors, and their caregivers for visiting our Medical Nutrition Applications students!

Hearing firsthand experiences from individuals and families living with type 1 diabetes provides invaluable insight for our future registered dietitians. These conversations help students better understand the real-life challenges, experiences, and perspectives behind diabetes management while emphasizing the importance of compassionate, patient-centered nutrition care. 🥼🍎

🩺 Interprofessional collaboration in action!

Our Medical Nutrition Applications dietetic students joined forces with community nursing students from the School of Nursing for their first blood pressure training! 🩺🩸 This hands-on experience highlights the importance of interdisciplinary learning and teamwork in preparing future healthcare professionals to provide collaborative, patient-centered care!
