🍳 Air Fryer Breakfast Sandwich: a mess-free egg, melted cheese, and a crispy muffin in about 15 minutes!
Ingredients
2 English muffins, split
2 large eggs
2 slices cheddar or American cheese
2 slices cooked bacon or 2 breakfast sausage patties (optional)
Butter, softened, for the muffins
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes.
Lightly butter the cut sides of the muffins.
Grease two small silicone egg molds or ramekins. Crack one egg into each, season with salt and pepper, and place them in the air fryer basket.
Cook the eggs at 160°C (320°F) for 6 to 8 minutes, until the whites are set and the yolks are still slightly soft. Cook longer if you prefer firm yolks.
If using bacon or sausage, add it to the basket for the last 4 to 5 minutes to heat through.
Remove the eggs and place them on the bottom muffin halves. Top each with a slice of cheese, then the bacon or sausage if using.
Place the top muffin halves in the air fryer, cut side up, and toast at 180°C (350°F) for 2 to 3 minutes.
Assemble the sandwiches, close them up, and serve hot.
