There’s what’s optimal on paper and then there’s what you’re actually willing to do consistently.
Weightlifting and walking might be the most effective combination for your physique goals, but if you hate it and won’t stick with it, it’s not the right approach for you.
If cycling is what you enjoy and can consistently show up for, do that. You might have to adjust your expectations for what your physique will look like, but you’ll likely make more progress doing something you enjoy than constantly fighting a plan you hate.
The same goes for nutrition.
Some people thrive on eating the same meals every day because it makes life easier. Others need meals that feel indulgent but fit their goals, even if that means spending more time in the kitchen.
Neither is wrong.
The best approach is the one that fits your life, your preferences, and what your brain can actually get on board with. The goal isn’t to find the most optimal plan, it’s to find the most effective plan that you’re actually willing to follow!
So be honest with yourself and be honest with your coach.
Tell us what you like, what you hate, what you’re willing to do, and what you’re not. We can build a plan around reality instead of an ideal version of you that doesn’t exist.
That’s how you get better results!
