Hot, cold, pouring rain… and a whole lot of treadmill. 🏃🏻♀️
Training for The Great World Race (7 marathons, 7 continents, 7 days) has put my Garmin Forerunner 970 through every possible condition.
Summer heat, frosty Manitoba mornings, sideways rain, and more indoor miles than I’d like to admit. 😅
The challenge with treadmill miles is that your watch and the treadmill don’t always agree.
When I’m tracking load and recovery for a race this big, I want my data clean.
So at the end of every treadmill run, I calibrate:
1️⃣ Run at least 1.5 mi / 2.4 km
2️⃣ Stop your activity
3️⃣ Select “Calibrate & Save”
4️⃣ Enter the distance shown on the treadmill
5️⃣ Save
That’s it.
Accurate distance and pace, and training data I can trust going into race week.
Save this for your next treadmill day 📌 and get your next Garmin through the link in my bio.
