She made it to full term — and entered the world weighing just 3 pounds, 15 ounces.

Courtney says she was full-term but weighed only 3 pounds 15 ounces at birth and was considered premature by weight.

Family grief can shape a story long before the next generation even knows the story exists. Sometimes one conversation suddenly gives years of memories a completely different meaning.

What part of this story stays with you?

𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?

Pregnancy loss did not suddenly become painful in our generation.

In my own family, these losses go back decades — and what stands out to me is how little space people had to talk about what happened.

That silence can travel through families.

This is why talking about pregnancy loss matters to me. The goal is not to decide whose grief is big enough. It is to create a place where people can say what happened, be heard, and receive support instead of carrying it alone.

If pregnancy loss has touched your family, you are part of this conversation too.

Steve asks Deb to notice how Max might already be making himself known. Deb describes seeing an energy form and sensing support around herself and her husband. This clip invites viewers to notice their own experiences rather than dismissing them immediately.

A machine shop full of men started talking about pregnancy loss.

After one coworker asked why her husband wasn't himself, he shared that his wife had lost a baby. Then another man shared. Then another. Soon the men in the machine shop were standing together talking openly about pregnancy loss.

He came home saying the conversation helped his emotional recovery.

Bran and Kimberlee begin by pointing to something practical: support already exists. Dodie found Compassionate Friends, a community for people living through the death of a child and other devastating losses. If you are in the middle of pregnancy-loss grief, one healing step can simply be finding people who understand without needing you to explain why the loss matters.

If this is what you need today, comment WATCH and I’ll send you the full healing episode.

Being told “that happens sometimes” feels very different when your body is telling you something is seriously wrong.

Patricia describes spotting and pain, being reassured, and never receiving what she felt was a proper examination. The pain kept increasing until she was actually blacking out.

A nurse friend finally told her: get to a gynecologist today — and pack a bag.

By then, Patricia says she had already lost the lining of her uterus and was told she had miscarried.

There is the loss itself — and then there is the experience of trying to get someone to understand what your body is telling you.

People deserve to feel heard when they say something is wrong.

37 years of self-blame is enough.

Bran asks Dodie to really take in the idea that she did the best she could.

He names the scale of what she has carried: 37 years of self-blame. His invitation is not to keep punishing herself, but to make peace with what happened and say, “I did the best I could.”

If you’re hurting today, you’re not alone. Share your baby’s name in the comments if you’d like, or simply light a candle and take a moment for them.
