PNANY’s First Community Outreach for the 2026–2028 Term!

Despite the cold weather, PNANY joined the Filipino American History Month – Little Manila Parade & Block Party on October 18, 2026, along 41st Avenue in Woodside, Queens. It was a meaningful and productive day filled with community engagement, cultural pride, and fellowship with fellow organizations.

Led by Jacqueline Juele Schuster, alongside our new Ways and Means Chair Camille Florendo and Community Outreach Chair Sally Francisco, the team connected with the community through health education and meaningful conversations.

It was also a great opportunity to connect with fellow nurses who came to celebrate. Membership Committee team Mariel Bedona and Melody Cubas reached out to the nurses who visited our booth and encouraged them to consider becoming members of PNANY.

The cold weather didn’t dampen our spirits! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, build connections, and strengthen our presence in the community as we begin this new term.

Together, we continue to serve, connect, and grow!

PNANY Strategic Planning 2026–2028 | Building a Stronger Future Together

PILLAR: Promoting Inclusivity, Learning, Legacy, Advocacy, & Resilience

The Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. (PNANY) Executive Officers, Board of Directors, and Advisory Council came together for the 2026–2028 Strategic Planning Meeting, embracing the theme β€œBe a PILLAR, From Vision to Reality.” This gathering marked an important step toward a new term of purposeful leadership, collaboration, and service.

The session focused on strengthening our leadership foundation, revisiting PNANY's mission, vision, organizational identity, and accomplishments, and identifying opportunities for continued growth. Discussions also highlighted nonprofit governance and organizational responsibilities, reinforcing our commitment to accountability and excellence.

Guided by the principles of Appreciative Inquiry and SMART Goals, our leaders worked collaboratively to translate the PILLAR vision into actionable plans. Through committee workshops, the officers and board of directors established strategic priorities, outlined programs and activities, and developed measurable goals, proposed budgets, timelines, and deliverables for the 2026–2028 term.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Amsterdam Nursing Home for graciously hosting and accommodating us for this meaningful event. Your generosity, hospitality, and support are truly appreciated.

As we embark on this new chapter, we remain united in our commitment to empowering our members, strengthening our organization, advancing nursing leadership, and serving our communities.

We also took a moment to celebrate our October birthday celebrants, adding a special touch of joy, camaraderie, and togetherness to our strategic planning gathering.

One Vision. One Team. One PILLAR. Moving Forward Together!

One week since the PNANY 29th Biennial Induction of Officers and Awards Gala!

One week ago, we gathered at Marina del Rey in the Bronx, New York, for a memorable celebration of leadership, service, and our nursing community.

Despite the nor’easter, the gala was well attended, a beautiful reminder of the dedication, support, and commitment of our PNANY family. It was wonderful to come together and witness the beginning of another chapter for our organization.

Thank you and congratulations to Laarni Florencio, PNANY Immediate Past President, and the entire PNANY Executive Board 2024–2026 for a successful and productive term. Your leadership, dedication, and service to PNANY are truly appreciated.

The gavel has been passed to Jacqueline Juele-Schuster, President 2026–2028, marking the start of a new chapter for PNA New York.

Congratulations to Jacqueline and all the newly inducted PNANY Executive Officers and Board of Directors 2026–2028. We look forward to your leadership and to another meaningful term of collaboration, professional growth, advocacy, and service.

As we look back on this special day, we are grateful for the leaders who served before us, the leaders who now carry the torch, and the members who continue to make PNANY strong.

One week later, the celebration continues, and a new chapter begins.
